The Palmetto State, steeped deep in historical context, is full of natural wonder, rich culture, and booming industry. One of the top 10 fastest growing states in the country, people are drawn to South Carolina for its desirable weather and substantial sense of opportunity. This industry and opportunity, however, is not equally distributed to all South Carolina citizens and communities.  

South Carolina schools rank 48th in the nation and the state is in the midst of a teacher shortage crisis. At the start of the 2021-22 school year, students in 1,060 classrooms were without full-time teachers.
